Reminder: Staff Appreciation Week
May 5-9, 2025
Help us celebrate our amazing teachers and staff the week of May 5-9. The PTA has a treat planned for staff each day, and students can help celebrate each day as well.
Check out the details for the rest of this week!
Wednesday: Stock the staff lounge. Students can give a card to their favorite staff member or specials teacher.
Thursday: A trail mix bar will be available for teachers and staff. Students can bring in things to help staff relax, like coffee gift cards or stress balls.
Friday: Catered lunch for teachers and staff. Students can wear Hunters Woods colors to honor teachers and staff.

PTA All School Spirit Event
Hunters Woods 6th Grade and Staff Basketball Challenge
Please join us for a night of student and staff basketball scrimmages, school spirit, raffles, music, food, and fun! This is a great event for all Hunters Woods families.
Date: Friday, May 9
Time: Doors Open at 6:15 pm, The event begins at 7:00 pm
Place: South Lakes High School Gym (park on the stadium side of the building)
Buy tickets today!
Tickets will be $5 at the door.
CASH ONLY
Please bring cash for tickets, merchandise, concessions, and raffle tickets.
PTA scholarships are available. Contact Family Liasion, Bethsy Vasquez at bnvasquez@fcps.edu.
Please note that this is not a drop-off event; all children must be
accompanied by a responsible adult.

Yearbook Orders: Final Reminder
Online yearbook orders are closed. If you are interested in purchasing a yearbook, this week is your last week to order. The final deadline is Friday, May 9.
Parents who still wish to purchase a yearbook are welcome to send an envelope with the student's name, teacher's name, email address, and $18 cash or check made payable to "Hunters Woods PTA" to the main office by Friday, May 9.
There will not be any additional copies for purchase after this Friday.

Volunteer at Field Day
We need volunteers for 2025 Field Day! This fun event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 10. We have volunteer spots available from 9:30-11:30am (4-6th grades) and 12:45-2:45pm (K-3rd grades). We also need volunteers to bring coolers and pop-up tents.
This volunteer opportunity fills up quickly, so sign up today.

Donations Needed
Food 4 Thought is a PTA-sponsored initiative to help students in need with healthy, shelf-stable food for the weekends and school-day snacks.
Donate: We need single-serve, shelf stable white milk, single-serve oatmeal packets, tuna salad kits, and single-serve snacks (granola bars, pretzels, etc). Check out our Amazon wish list.
Volunteer: Help deliver food bags and snacks to classrooms on Fridays (and some other school days) from 8-8:30am. Volunteers needed now through the end of the school year. Sign up here.
