Here's how to make sure you get Fast Forward in your Inbox
By Teresa M. Hanafin, Globe Staff
Hey folks,
Remember a couple of weeks ago I let you know that I was moving Fast Forward from one email application to another? I alerted you because Fast Forward was going to look different in your Inbox.
Instead of the Sender being Fast Forward, it was going to change to The Boston Globe, with the Subject line beginning with "Fast Forward."
And I showed you the difference in how it would look in your Inbox, changing from this:
|
Now we have to take another step to make sure you receive Fast Forward. Well, you have take that step.
So right after I send out this note from the former software, I'll send out this week's regular Fast Forward from the new place. Again, the Sender will be The Boston Globe and the Subject line will be "Fast Forward: Trump's gold obsession."
So please check your Inbox.
If you don't see it, please check your Spam or Junk folder. Or, if you use GMail with the tabs across the top, check to see if it landed in one of them; "Promotions" is the most likely.
If you find it in Spam, or can't find it anywhere, then you'll have to add our email address - newsletters@bostonglobe.com - to your list of contacts so that your email provider knows it can trust us. (That's a leap.) Look for your email provider below and follow the instructions.
Gmail:
1) If you find Fast Forward in Spam, mark it Not Spam and move it to your Inbox.
2) Add us as a contact: Go to google.com/contacts, click “create contact,” name the contact Boston Globe, and add newsletters@bostonglobe.com as the email address.
Apple:
1) If you find Fast Forward in your junk folder, click Move to Inbox, or drag and drop the email into your Inbox.
2) Add us as a contact: Click on newsletters@bostonglobe.com > and then "Add to contacts or add to VIPs."
Yahoo:
1) If you find Fast Forward in Spam, mark it Not Spam and move it to your Inbox.
2) Add us as a contact: contacts > add a new contact > add newsletters@bostonglobe.com > save
Outlook/Hotmail:
1) If you find Fast Forward in your junk folder, right-click the email, select move, then choose Inbox.
2) Add us as a contact: Go to settings > mail > junk email > senders > safe senders and domains > add safe sender. Add newsletters@bostonglobe.com > ok > save.
I hope that works for you! And thanks for doing this. |
