Multiple people were injured Monday morning in a seven-car crash that temporarily shut down part of westbound U.S. 36 in Westminster, police said.

A man was shot and killed by police early Monday morning in southeast Colorado Springs, according to the police department.

Watson Lake was temporarily closed Sunday as crews worked to recover the body, which has not been publicly identified by the Larimer County Coroner’s Office, sheriff’s officials said.

The wildfire started near Colowyo Mine off of Colorado 13 and burned roughly 585 acres between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 7:45 p.m. Saturday, Moffat County sheriff’s officials said

Interstate 70 reopened Sunday morning east of Glenwood Springs after a fire temporarily shut down the interstate in both directions, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The unidentified driver was headed southbound on Federal Boulevard in a white Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 when the crash happened, police said. The driver then fled the scene.
