Good evening Wentyl,

At least 12 people are dead and 29 injured after a mass shooting at Sydney’s Bondi Beach in which multiple gunmen opened fire during a Jewish festival.

The attack has been declared as a terrorist incident, which will allow authorities greater powers to investigate the shooting.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has labelled the attack as a “devastating terrorist incident” and an “anti-Semitic attack”.

“This is a targeted attack on Jewish Australians on the first day of Hanukkah, which should be a day of joy, a celebration of faith, an act of evil, anti semitism, terrorism that has struck the heart of our nation,” he said.
