For more than four decades, DOL Veterans’ Employment and Training Service has committed to empowering America’s veterans, transitioning service members, and military families through meaningful employment, training opportunities, and the protections they deserve.

As we reflect on this milestone, we celebrate the programs that advance our mission every day and offer support to military veterans, service members, and their spouses.

Connect with one of our impactful programs today:

• Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Equipping transitioning service members and their spouses with the tools, guidance, and resources needed to move confidently into civilian careers.

• HIRE Vets Medallion Program (HVMP) Recognizing employers who demonstrate exemplary efforts to recruit, hire, and retain veterans in the workforce.

• Jobs for Veterans State Grants (JVSG) Strengthening state workforce systems and enabling Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program (DVOP) specialists and Local Veterans’ Employment Representatives (LVERs) to deliver personalized career support.

• Veterans’ Preference and Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) Protecting the employment and reemployment rights of those who serve, ensuring they never have to choose between duty and their civilian livelihoods.

• Veteran Employment Outreach Program (VEOP) Regional Veterans’ Employment Coordinators (RVECs) work to help employers find service members, veterans, and military spouses by engaging with local, regional, and national employers.

• Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Program (HVRP) Helping fund organizations supporting veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness to access stable employment, resources, and long-term economic independence.
