The Resources, Science and Industry Division of the Congressional Research Service seeks an Analyst in Environmental Policy. The analyst will possess knowledge of the theories, concepts, processes, techniques, principles, and/or practices of environmental policy and/or science issues related to waste management. This includes knowledge of the history, trends, and evolving status of waste management and recycling, including statutes, such as the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and their implementation, and interrelationships with other key disciplines such as the physical or biological sciences, engineering, and public finance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ability to develop expertise in new areas.
