As the school year has come to a close, we want to extend our sincere thanks to all the parents and families who supported the PTA throughout the year. Your time, donations, and volunteer efforts helped make our biggest events—including the School Dance and 8th Grade Celebration—a huge success. We couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for helping create memorable experiences for our students!
We wish all of our HMS families a fun, relaxing, and safe summer. Enjoy your well-deserved break, and we look forward to sharing updates and exciting news when the PTA newsletter returns in August!

Rugby
Great Falls Rugby offers a fun, supportive, and team-focused environment for boys and girls of all ages and experience levels — no rugby experience needed!
Students build confidence, fitness, teamwork, and leadership skills while making new friends and becoming part of a welcoming community.
Programs Available:
- NON-CONTACT Rugby (Coed, ages 4–10)
- Tackle Rugby (Coed, ages 10–14)
- Boys & Girls Tackle Rugby (ages 14–18)

Summer Running Camp
A two-week summer running camp for rising 7th–12th graders hosted by Herndon HS.

Youth in Motion (YIM) (Presented by Reston Runners)
Youth in Motion is a summer running program for children ages 4–13, with age-appropriate groups and activities.
When: Sundays, 6:30–7:30 PM
Dates: June 21 – August 2
Location: Herndon High School
Season Finale: August 9 at Lake Fairfax Park featuring age-group races and a celebration of our young athletes.
