Burglary Arrest
CITY OF FAIRFAX — On June 13, 2026, at 8:03 a.m., the City of Fairfax Police Department was alerted to the report of a commercial burglary that occurred at Subway (10160 Main St.). An investigation revealed a male suspect utilized a hatchet to defeat the door handle and locking mechanism to gain entry into the business, and then stole money before fleeing the scene.
On June 16, 2026, at 5:04 a.m., the City of Fairfax Police Department responded for a commercial alarm at Revolutions (9687 Fairfax Blvd.). An investigation revealed a male suspect utilized a hatchet to defeat the door handle and locking mechanism to gain entry into the business, and then stole money before fleeing the scene.
On June 16, 2026, at 11:04 a.m., the City of Fairfax Police Department responded for a report of an attempted burglary at Mama Chang’s (3251 Fairfax Blvd.). An investigation revealed a male suspect utilized a hatchet to damage the door handle and locking mechanism in an attempt to gain entry into the business, but was unable to gain access.
Upon further investigation by officers and detectives, a suspect was identified in this case.
On June 17, 2026, Thomas Ray Hamilton, 60, of Falls Church was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with two counts of Burglary and one count of Attempted Burglary. Hamilton is currently being held without bond.
