Our last few days of school were full of a lot of fun, many smiles, and great memories! Thank you, Mustangs, for a wonderful end of the 25-26 school year!
Hello MUES Families,
That's a wrap! What a great end to the 25-26 school year as we promoted our 6th graders to middle school at their promotion ceremony on Tuesday morning, treated staff and 6th graders to Kona Ice to kickoff summer vacation, held our annual end of the school year luau, and celebrated our first-ever After School Recess family event. We also had the opportunity to celebrate our 4th quarter S.M.I.L.E. award winners alongside their family. We thank these select students for exemplifying the MUES Way every school day and serving as strong role models for their classmates.
As we close another successful school year, we extend our sincere gratitude to our families for the invaluable partnership you have provided throughout the year. Your support, encouragement, and collaboration have played a vital role in the success of your child's academic, social, and emotional growth. Together, we have created a strong school community focused on student success, and we are grateful for the trust you place in our school team.
We wish you and your family a wonderful summer and look forward to continuing our partnership in the year ahead!
Your Proud Principal,
Mrs. Goddin

Through June, you will receive your child’s spring assessment results. If you aren’t sure what assessments your child took this year, you can view a list of tests by grade level on the FCPS website.
Most scores are available in SIS ParentVUE. Visit FCPS’ website for additional information about how test results are reported to families.
Websites for each test provide report translations and help with understanding test results. Please contact our front office with any testing questions or for additional information about how our school and teachers use test results to support student success.
Signing up for a SIS ParentVUE account helps you to support your child’s academic success! Caregivers can view important information like attendance, grades, progress reports, and assessment scores through ParentVUE.
Once you have activated a ParentVUE account for an FCPS student, you will keep the same account until the student graduates. Information about students in the same family can be accessed through the same ParentVUE account. It is available online and as a mobile app for Apple and Android devices.
Need help creating a SIS ParentVue account? This video walks through the steps. Find out more about SIS ParentVUE.
If you already have an account, be sure your contact information is up to date. Parents/guardians can update their phone numbers or email addresses in the Parent/Guardian section. View additional details about ParentVUE.
Instructional Services is supporting student learning over the summer. Digital and print resources are being curated on the Summer Learning Resources webpage for students and families to review and practice previously taught content throughout the summer months.
Resources are organized by grade level and aligned to the learning students experienced during the school year. Families can access the materials at any time to review concepts, practice skills, or explore new ideas at home. Additional resources will continue to be added throughout June.
Inspire Health Alliance, in partnership with FCPS, will be providing school-required immunizations this summer. Immunizations will be provided at no out-of-pocket cost to students or families. Registering families will be required to provide insurance information, if applicable, but students without insurance may still participate.
Visit the FCPS and Inspire Health Alliance Student Immunization Events webpage for dates, times, and locations. Additional event dates will be made available and shared four to five weeks prior to the event on the webpage. Additional immunization resources are also available.
FCPS will continue with limited early release Wednesdays for elementary schools during the 2026-27 school year. The number of days has been reduced from eight to four.
Early release Wednesdays provide elementary teachers with a dedicated block of time to prepare lessons, participate in professional development and training, and collaborate with their peers. A well-supported and continuously improving teaching staff leads to better educational outcomes for students.
Please view the dates for McNair Upper's early release Wednesdays below:
- October 21st
- December 2nd
- February 10th
- May 5th
Visit the FCPS website for more information about early release Wednesdays.
