What’s an email hill you’d die on? Ours is named All-Image Emails Suck. We've already bought the burial plot and everything.
All-image emails feel faster because you can make the design look perfect and call it done, but that speed is borrowed from your future self.
Eventually, someone needs to change the headline, swap the hero image, test a different CTA, update a disclaimer, translate it for another market, or fix one tiny typo buried somewhere in a Figma file nobody can find. And we haven’t even gotten to dynamic content or personalization yet.
All-image emails also create a bunch of problems you may never see in your dashboard, like promo codes people can’t copy, text that can’t resize or reflow, readers who get a blank rectangle and quietly move on with their lives... you get the point.
That’s why we held a webinar on the topic yesterday, taking all-image emails and rebuilding them as flexible, editable emails that still looked like the originals.
The next time someone says, “You can’t do that in email,” here’s how we did it.
