A new live-action version of Disney’s beloved animated film Lilo & Stitch comes out in theaters May 23. The movie tells the tale of an unlikely friendship between a young girl and a spirited space alien. As fans of the first film know, Stitch is a destructive monster created by an evil scientist. After he steals a space vehicle, Stitch crash-lands in Hawaii where Lilo, a lonely orphan being raised by her sister, mistakes him for a dog and adopts him. As Lilo teaches him about ’ohana (the Hawaiian word for family), the galaxy police arrive and are set on capturing the monster at any cost.
