Manny Jacinto, (Finally) a Leading Man |
Back when Twitter was a fun place to hang out (and it was still called Twitter), a select number of appealing young actors were dubbed “the internet’s boyfriends.” Thanks to his performance as goofy but jacked Jason Mendoza on The Good Place, Manny Jacinto shot to the top of that list. Since that era, he’s largely stuck to supporting work—until this week, when his role as Lindsay Lohan’s love interest in Freakier Friday shoots him into the spotlight as a romantic lead. The moment isn’t lost on him. “Even to this day, it’s still not that easy to see people who look like me who are leading men,” an uncommonly candid Jacinto tells Savannah Walsh.
