CGB

On Friday, February 27, our school will be participating in Crossfield Gives Back, a day of giving where our students will prepare, sort and pack 550+ weekend food packs filled with snacks and meals for food-insecure students across Fairfax County. These packs will be distributed by Food for Others

We are asking for the support of our Crossfield Community to help provide food for these packs (such as oatmeal, mac and cheese, etc).

How You Can Help:

    • Donate food items through our Amazon Wish List
  • New this year! Make a monetary donation to Crossfield Gives Back, allowing us to purchase items locally

Donation collection period:  NOW through Monday, February 23. Please make sure all items arrive by then, so they get included in our packing event! Our Crossfield Community can make a difference!

Over the next few weeks:

  • Our 6th graders will share information about food insecurity through poster campaigns and the WCES morning news.
  • Students in grades K–3 will participate in age-appropriate lessons about poverty and food insecurity.
  • A volunteer SignUpGenius will be shared soon for those interested in supporting this favorite Crossfield community event.

Please share the donation link for food donations far and wide (neighborhoods, churches, local friends and family). This is an ambitious effort, but we know we can do it. Let’s show the love, Crossfield!
