Help Us Celebrate Michelle's Legacy

Hello x,

With heavy hearts, we wanted to inform you all of the passing of Michelle McGriff after a long battle with cancer. You may know her as Lady Sabelle, her moniker as an independent sculptor. If you've followed any of our campaigns since the original Cities Kickstarter, you've definitely seen her work.

Since joining the team in 2015, she's been a core sculptor for Dwarven Forge, the "Mistress of Minicule" responsible for nearly all of our dressing and many sets like the Archaean Ruins with tiny details. Her skill and passion is an integral part of this company.

Her husband, Chuck, is also a core part of the Dwarven Forge team--if you've dealt with customer support, you've likely interfaced with him. He's requested we celebrate her life by sharing pictures and stories of the games her pieces inspired.

Tomorrow night (Wednesday, February 4th) our On the Anvil stream will be a tribute to her work. We'll build with the pieces she made, share stories, and pay our respects. We'll be going live at 7pm US Eastern Time, and we'd love to see you there.

Michelle was and will always be a core part of our legacy. She loved this job and treasured seeing her work grace tables around the world.

Hold your loved ones close, have a game night, and treasure every experience you get to have with them.
