Fundraising for Alaska’s U.S. Senate and House races has jumped into high gear, with candidates raising millions of dollars in the latest fundraising round in the lead-up to the November election.
The new version instead would require more legislative oversight over Alaska’s correspondence education programs, and removes additional correspondence funding in favor of broader one-time education funding measures.
According to city code, the municipal clerk must initiate a recount within seven days of the election certification if a candidate wins by less than a 0.5% margin.
