From Chicken Soup for the Soul: I Can't Stop Laughing

I brought children into this dark world because it needed the light that only a child can bring. ~Liz Armbruster My kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Bushy, had an announcement. Mother’s Day was just around the corner, and she had a plan to make all our moms feel like superstars. “I’m going to draw a circle that looks like the sun on a piece of paper,” she told us. “And each one of the rays of light that surrounds the sun will be a sentence that each of you have written about why your mother is special.”
I was so excited for my turn. I knew that I had the best answer in the class. I fidgeted in my seat with breathless anticipation waiting to let Mrs. Bushy know that my ray of sunshine should read: “My mother loves me a lot.” (Keep reading)
