Hey, I just got back from that camping trip I mentioned. The weather was perfect, barely any rain. We hiked about 8 miles the first day, which was tougher than I expected, but the view from the top was worth every step. I'm thinking of upgrading my gear, especially my tent. The one I have now is a bit heavy for solo backpacking. Do you have any recommendations for a lightweight 2-person tent that doesn't break the bank? I saw a few online, but I'd rather hear from someone who's actually used them. Anyway, let me know what you think. We should plan a trip together sometime soon. I've been looking at a few different trails nearby that are supposed to be great for a long weekend trip.

So I finally tried that pasta recipe you sent me last month. It turned out really well. I added some roasted mushrooms and a bit of garlic butter to the sauce, which gave it a nice depth of flavor. The whole family loved it, even the kids who usually pick out the vegetables. I served it with a simple side salad and some crusty bread. It was a pretty easy weeknight meal. I'm thinking of tweaking it next time by adding some grilled chicken or maybe trying it with a creamy basil sauce instead. Let me know if you have any other good recipes. I'm trying to cook more at home this year and building a solid rotation of go-to meals.
