Yes, I think that approach for the community garden layout should work well. The raised beds along the south side will get maximum sun exposure throughout the day. I measured the space again yesterday and we have about 12 feet of clearance for the pathways between rows. If we use pea gravel instead of wood chips, drainage will be better during spring rains. I also checked with the local nursery about soil amendments and they recommended a mix of compost and peat moss for the raised beds. The tomatoes and peppers should thrive with that combination.
