NIH RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY FOR HEALTHY VOLUNTEERS. PrEP Users Welcome!
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is looking for healthy adults without HIV to take part in research studies to help better understand how HIV impacts the brain, mood, thinking, and memory.
WHO CAN JOIN?
- Adults ages 40+
- Able to visit the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD
- Must be able to complete neuropsychological testing in English
- HIV Negative, and free of certain medical conditions (call to find out)
- Those taking pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to prevent HIV may still be eligible
WHAT’S INVOLVED?
- Annual visits
- Medical history and exams
- Questionnaires
- Bloodwork
- Brain scans
- Memory and thinking tests
- Spinal taps
You may receive between $370-950 for your participation
