VA’s Veterans Transportation Program (VTP) offers Veterans many travel solutions to and from their VA health care facilities. This program offers these services at little or no costs to eligible Veterans through the following services:

Beneficiary Travel (BT): The BT program reimburses eligible Veterans for costs incurred while traveling to and from VA health care facilities. The BT program may also provide pre-approved transportation solutions and arrange special mode transportation (SMT) at the request of VA. Veterans may be eligible for common carrier transportation (such as bus, taxi, airline or train) under certain conditions.

Veterans Transportation Service (VTS): Using VA associated vehicles and or third-party transportation to help get Veterans to their VA scheduled Appointments.

Uber Health Connect: Is a new option for Veterans to help get them to their scheduled VA appointments. Veterans must meet BT eligibility to qualify.

Beneficiary Travel Self Service System (BTSSS): Provides an intuitive interface for claimants such as Veterans and caregivers to submit and track their beneficiary travel claims. BTSSS provides a more Veteran-focused experience for beneficiary travel reimbursements, allowing claimants to submit and track travel claims at their convenience. BTSSS also provides capabilities for beneficiaries to receive payments by electronic funds transfer and helps to eliminate fraud, waste and abuse. Payments are faster and the use of direct deposit ensures a faster access to monies paid out.

Veterans can create their own log in and have access to file vouchers on-line for their VA and Community Care Appts.
