It is never a good time to be in the hospital, especially on a holiday.
This Memorial Day, we take time to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives for our country. We are always grateful for their sacrifice and the freedoms they helped protect.
The Birmingham VA Nutrition and Food Service is proud to serve a traditional meal, made especially for our inpatient Veterans. Each tray will include a Freedom 250 American Flag as a small symbol of remembrance, gratitude, and patriotism.
Our Memorial Day menu features:
- Grilled Hamburger
- Toasted Brioche Bun
- Fresh Lettuce and Tomato
- Crispy Sweet Potato Fries
- Chilled Fresh Watermelon
- Refreshing Iced Tea or Lemonade
We hope this special meal brings comfort, a sense of tradition, and a moment to reflect as we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
