Hey, wanted to follow up on your question about the community garden project. I checked with the coordinator yesterday and she mentioned they still need volunteers for the weekend planting sessions. The soil prep is mostly done and the raised beds are looking great. A few of us are planning to go Saturday morning around eight if you want to carpool. I can swing by your place since it's on the way. Let me know if that works for you. Also, the weather forecast looks promising so it should be a good day to work outside. They're hoping to get the tomatoes and peppers in the ground before the next rain system moves through. I think you'd really enjoy it — it's been a nice way to meet some of the neighbors and learn a few gardening tips along the way. Just bring gloves and a hat and I'll handle the rest of the tools. We usually wrap up around noon and grab lunch at the little market down the street. Their sandwiches are surprisingly good for such a small place. Anyway no pressure but the offer is open if you're free.

I came across your message about the photography workshop that's coming up next month. I looked into it and it seems like a really solid opportunity for anyone wanting to improve their composition skills. The instructor has a background in landscape photography and the curriculum covers lighting, framing, and post-processing techniques that are actually practical. A couple of us from the old office are thinking about signing up together. It's a two-day event held at the community center downtown and the fee includes all materials plus a light lunch both days. I remember you mentioned wanting to get more comfortable with manual mode on your camera and this workshop seems perfectly geared for exactly that. They also do a group critique session on the second afternoon which I think would be really valuable.
