Hi, I’ve been thinking about how to arrange the books on the shelf by color or by size. Actually, I saw a method where you group them by genre and then within each group sort by height—makes it look clean but still easy to find things. For my collection, I’m trying a mix of vertical and horizontal stacking for visual interest, but I’m not sure about the long-term wear on the spines. What do you think about using bookends that are more stable? I’ve been meaning to ask your opinion because you have a good eye for these things.

Thanks for asking about the garden project. I decided to plant tomatoes along the fence instead of in raised beds after all. The soil was tested and it’s actually decent for that area. I’ll need to add some compost but not too much. Also, I’m going to try a drip irrigation kit from the hardware store rather than sprinklers. It should save water and keep the leaves dry. I can share photos when things grow. Let me know if you want any seeds—I have extra.
