I was just thinking about that documentary you mentioned last week. I finally watched it over the weekend and honestly it was a lot more engaging than I expected. Honestly I didn't expect the recipe to turn out that well. I was just experimenting with some leftover vegetables and a random jar of sauce I found in the back of the pantry but it came together surprisingly nicely. I think the key was roasting everything first instead of sautéing — that extra step added so much depth. My roommate even asked for the recipe which never happens. I also signed up for that pottery class I kept talking about. First session is next Tuesday and I'm a little nervous because I have zero artistic ability but it should be fun anyway. The instructor seems really patient and hands-on. I'll let you know how it goes. Oh and I finally finished that book you lent me — the one set in Iceland.
