I just got back from the hiking trip we planned last month. The weather was perfect, and we managed to hit most of the trails we wanted. I tried out that new backpack I was telling you about, and it held up really well. The suspension system made a huge difference on the longer climbs 9Lyam0eORVrpYB. We saw a family of deer early one morning, which was pretty magical. I'll send you a few of the photos I took. Let me know if you're free next weekend, I can tell you more about the route we took. It was about 12 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 2,500 feet. The views from the summit were absolutely worth the effort. I'm already planning the next one.

I was reorganizing my bookshelves yesterday and found that novel I borrowed from you a while back. I really enjoyed it, the character development was surprisingly deep for a sci-fi story. The world-building reminded me a bit of that other series we both like. I'll drop it off at your place later this week. Also, I finally started learning how to play the guitar. My fingers are sore, but it's a lot of fun. The online tutorials make it pretty easy to get started. I'm learning a few chords and can almost play a whole song. It's a great way to unwind after work.
