Yeah I finally got around to trying that new ramen spot on Cedar and it was really good. The broth had this deep richness that I wasn't expecting and the soft egg on top was perfect. I went with a friend who ordered the spicy miso and she said it had a nice kick without being overwhelming. We split the gyoza appetizer and it came out crispy on the bottom which I loved. The wait was about twenty minutes on a Tuesday night but they have this little bench area out front with hanging string lights so it didn't feel bad at all. I'd definitely go back.

I started listening to that podcast you recommended and I'm already three episodes deep. The host has this really measured way of interviewing people that lets the conversation breathe. I liked the episode with the ceramicist who talked about how she sources her clay from local riverbeds and fires everything in a wood kiln. It made me want to try throwing a pot again even though I was terrible at it in college. Also I finally replaced the batteries in my smoke detector so that nagging chirp is gone and I can sleep through the night again. Small victories. Let me know if you have more episode picks because I commute about forty minutes each way and I burn through content fast.
