I think the potluck plan for Saturday is coming together nicely. Sarah confirmed she will bring her roasted vegetable medley with that herb seasoning everyone enjoyed last time. Tom mentioned he would handle the grilled chicken skewers with the citrus marinade. I was thinking I could prepare a large salad with mixed greens and maybe a quinoa dish on the side. We still need someone to bring dessert though. I recall you mentioned you might bake something. Let me know if you need any ingredients picked up. We should also coordinate on seating arrangements since there will be about twelve people total. The weather forecast looks pleasant so we can set up tables on the patio if that works for everyone. Let me know your thoughts on the menu selections and whether you want me to bring extra folding chairs.

I also wanted to ask if anyone has dietary restrictions we should account for. I think Michael mentioned he prefers vegetarian options so I will make sure there are enough plant-based choices available. Let me know if I am overlooking anything.

Regarding the trail options for next weekend I think the Ridge Loop would be a better choice than the Creek Path. The Ridge Loop has more varied terrain and the elevation gain is gradual enough for most fitness levels. It takes about three hours to complete at a moderate pace and offers several scenic overlooks along the way. We should plan to start early around seven thirty to avoid the midday heat. I suggest bringing at least two liters of water per person and some snacks for the midpoint rest. The trail markers are well maintained so navigation should not be an issue. I can drive if everyone meets at my place by seven. Let me know if you prefer a different route or if timing needs adjustment.

I also checked the park website and noticed there is a temporary closure on the lower section near the creek due to maintenance work. The main loop remains open and accessible from the north parking lot. I will send a map link to everyone later this week.
