Yeah I totally agree with what you said about the hiking trail. We ended up going there last Saturday and the weather was perfect.
The views from the top were absolutely worth the steep climb. My dog loved splashing in the creek on the way down.
I also finally got around to painting the fence in the backyard. It took way longer than I expected but it looks so much better now.
I used that weatherproof stain you recommended and it went on really smoothly. Next weekend I am planning to build a small raised bed for vegetables.

So I finally started reading that book series you told me about last year. I am halfway through the second book and I cannot believe I waited this long to read them.
The world-building is just incredible and the characters are so well developed. I also tried my hand at making sourdough bread from scratch.
The first loaf was a bit flat but the second one turned out really well. There is something so satisfying about the whole process.
By the way did you ever finish that puzzle we started at the cabin? I found a few pieces under the couch after we got back.
