Register for the Drug Repurposing: Considerations for Selection Criteria and Prioritization Public Meeting
|
Registration is now open for the “Drug Repurposing: Considerations for Selection Criteria and Prioritization” hybrid public meeting, to be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 10:30 AM – 5:00 PM ET.
Convened by the Reagan-Udall Foundation for the FDA (Foundation) in collaboration with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), this meeting will discuss opportunities to expand treatment options for patients by identifying new uses for FDA-approved drugs. The meeting will include an overview of the input FDA received in response to the recent Request for Information and discussion of potential approaches for selecting and prioritizing promising drug repurposing candidates, including considerations related to the use of real-world data/evidence and artificial intelligence.
Individuals interested in providing brief comments during the public comment session must indicate their interest during online registration. Requests to present must be received by 11:59 ET on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
The meeting is open to the public and will be offered both in person and virtually. Registration is required for both attendance options, and in-person seating is limited.
