Hey Iza,
I've run close to a thousand workshop days over 17 years.
And if there's one thing I know: it doesn't take thousands of people to change your business.
Ten people in a room? Game changing. Absolutely game changing.
The difference between a workshop that flops and one that transforms lives isn't the size of your audience.
It's five simple ideas most people miss.
Part 1 was about the strategy (why in-person works). Part 2 is about the execution (how to actually run them).
Get these five ideas right and people will walk out with finished products, deeper connections, and they'll be begging to buy your next offer.
Get them wrong and you'll have an expensive gathering with no real results.
This week's episode breaks down the exact framework I've used to run successful workshops for 17 years. The marketing strategy. How to structure activities. How to set up the room for maximum engagement. Everything.

Here's what we unpack and how to apply it immediately:
1. Go from warm to cold in your marketing
Don't try to fill your room with strangers. Start with people who already know, like, and trust you. Clients, past clients, warm prospects. Send personal Bonjouros. Reach out individually. SMS your list. Get a little guerilla with it. Even a big influencer I know recently was SMSing old clients to fill their event. This warm-to-cold approach is how you actually get butts in seats.
2. Focus on finishing
Stop doing "drink from the fire hose" events. Design your workshop so people walk away with a finished product they can implement immediately. At Sell from Stage Live, we finish content, finish stories, finish offers. Then we practice it. Integrate it. The attendee leaves with something done, not a stack of notes they'll never look at.
3. Set up expectations with pre-framing
Spend 20-30 minutes at the start framing how people should show up and interact. Tell them to look around the room and imagine everyone is a long-lost friend. Frame the day as "knowledge doesn't equal knowing—today is about actually knowing." This simple framing shapes how people engage with the content and with each other for the entire workshop.
4. Fill out boxes to break down complexity
Design activities with boxes people fill out. Story mapping? Five boxes: opening sentence, challenge, decision, success journey, insight. Filled boxes become a usable product. This approach works because it simplifies the complex and stops people from getting overwhelmed. The simpler you make it, the more they'll implement it.
5. Design the room for discussion
U-shaped tables? Classroom setup? Both kill conversation. Use roundtables. People can talk to each other logistical angle. They create little communities at each table. Just make sure there are no chairs facing backward (people feel awkward turning around). Mini U-shaped roundtables are perfect. The room setup determines how much real engagement happens.
If you're running a workshop soon and conversions are weak, one of these five ideas is probably missing.
