iza,
One of our members did something radical last month. She took two full days off. Planned them, protected them, and didn't open the laptop once.
And when the days actually happened, she let herself be celebrated for it. She brought the win to one of our live sessions, the group made a real fuss, and her phone lit up with congratulations texts for the rest of the day.

“That was, like, the best party I've had in a while.”

Here's the part that made it work: the celebration was decided before the win. Those days off were picked, planned, and protected in advance. By the time they arrived, everyone knew what the cork was for.
We call this a Champagne Moment: a leveraged win you choose ahead of time and celebrate on purpose when it lands. Not everything you survive this month deserves a cork. The question that matters is which win makes the weeks after it lighter. That's the one worth watching for.
The science says choosing in advance is the whole trick. Teresa Amabile at Harvard analyzed 12,000 workday diary entries from 238 professionals and found the single strongest driver of a good workday was making progress on meaningful work. Even small progress. The catch: progress only fuels you if you notice it, and a month gets loud fast. Naming the moment ahead of time is how you guarantee you notice.
The fix is one move: PICK YOUR SEPTEMBER CHAMPAGNE MOMENT TODAY, BEFORE THE MONTH GETS LOUD.
If you want help finding it, our Champagne Moments Workbook was built for exactly this. It walks you through identifying what's leveraged enough to celebrate at the end of each week. About fifteen minutes, and it's free:
September starts today. Decide what the cork is for. |
