Iza,

At 13 and 14, I was going to bars with my older sisters. My father was physically in the house but not emotionally attuned, and he wasn't trying to protect me from the outside world either. So I learned something about myself, and it wasn't good: maybe I wasn't worth protecting.

If saying no makes you feel guilty or selfish, or terrified of disappointing someone, an unhealed father wound may be part of the reason why. It certainly was for me.

This week's episode connects the dots. I'm walking through the different father wound archetypes and how each one shows up in the specific ways we struggle to set limits or say no to others.
