Dear Colleague, I'm excited to partner with The Chronicle of Higher Education again to host our virtual Mental Health Forum focused on proactive mental health and student flourishing. I wanted to give you a glimpse of what’s ahead for the segment on “The Anxious Campus”—because what we’ll be talking about is not only timely, but deeply important on many levels. Anxiety among college students is rising at an unprecedented rate, impacting not only academic performance, but overall well-being, relationships, as well as a sense of meaning and purpose. During this important program, we’ll go beyond the typical conversations and explore what’s really driving this trend—and more importantly, what faculty, staff, and administrators can do to support a much-needed shift in a new direction.
