When Tom Cruise and Taylor Swift shared a suite at the Kansas City Chiefs game on Monday, plenty of fans wondered what two of entertainment’s biggest names could possibly talk about. Now, Cruise is revealing that football was a major topic of conversation.

Cruise opened up about his interaction with Swift while appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” to promote his new film, “Digger.” During the interview, Fallon asked what the actor and pop superstar discussed while watching Travis Kelce and the Chiefs.

“She was schooling me on football,” Cruise said.

Duncan Sheik, the Tony- and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter who crafted the music for “Spring Awakening,” has died. He was 56.

Sheik died Thursday from organ failure, his mother Suzanne Sheik told The New York Times. She did not provide any other details about his condition or what led to the organ failure.

“The world has a lost a singular talent, and deeply influential voice in music and theater. From his Grammy-nominated hit ‘Barely Breathing’ to his groundbreaking, Tony and Grammy Award-winning work on Spring Awakening, Duncan’s artistry touched many and leaves an indelible mark on the cultural landscape,” a statement posted on his Instagram account said.

Miley Cyrus is revealing a few details about the last conversation she had with her godmother Dolly Parton, who died in August.

Cyrus opened up about her relationship with Parton amid a Sept. 17 interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. During their chat, Cyrus spoke about a tradition she’s had with Parton since she started to release music on vinyl.

“Dolly has been the first person that when I get a vinyl printed, that’s the first person I send it to since I’ve been making vinyls, and this time around I’m going to send her a vinyl because I always do,” she said about her plans for new album, “Bass Persuades,” out Sept. 18.

Musicians looking for their big break have the chance to compete for a spot opening for Ed Sheeran in Mexico City.

Guitar Center recently launched its “Open for Legends” contest, which will allow an emerging act the opportunity to open for the Grammy winner at his Dec. 11 concert. The competition is designed to spotlight undiscovered musicians for a global audience. 

The contest is being held amid a growing shakeup on Sheeran’s Loop Tour.

Fans of the movie “Elf” should soon make plans to pass through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, past the sea of swirly, twirly gum drops, then walk through the Lincoln Tunnel and head to Rockefeller Center.

That’s where the world of Buddy the Elf will come to life this holiday season in an immersive experience for, as he says, humans who share an affinity for elf culture.

“The Elf Experience” opens Nov. 14 at HERO in Rockefeller Center, taking fans on a journey from New York City to the North Pole.
