A Message from Ms. Consolla

This week, Dr. Triplett and I met with grade levels 1-6 to share about the rights and responsibilities all students have at Fort Hunt. We discussed what it looks like to be safe, respectful and responsible. We also talked about what happens when expectations are met and when mistakes occur. I invite you to connect with your child to discuss it. You can use the example of our anchor chart that we built together during the talk. There's a picture of it below.

We have been finishing up many of our beginning of the year assessments, especially in Grade 3-6 who have taken the iReady and MAP tests. Our primary grade students take a little longer to complete their reading assessments because they are administered one-on-one. Results will be available in ParentVUE when the testing windows close in mid-October. Teachers can discuss them with you at the parent-teacher conference.

If you would like to know more about our Advanced Academic services in FCPS and at Fort Hunt, please come to our Zoom meeting on Tuesday evening at 6:30pm. I will send out a link to everyone on Tuesday. Ms. Preshion Lynch, our Advanced Academic Resource Teacher, will be sharing an overview.
