Thanks for checking in about the weekend plan. I looked at the train schedule and the earliest departure on Saturday leaves at 7:40 in the morning. That gets us into the city by 9:15, which leaves plenty of time to walk over to the market before it gets too busy. I also called the restaurant about the patio seating. They said the outdoor section opens at noon and they do not take reservations for the patio, so we should aim to arrive by 11:45 at the latest. If the weather turns, they have a covered area with heaters that can seat about thirty people. I think we should bring one umbrella just in case. Let me know if you want to meet at the station at 7:15 instead of 7:00. I can grab coffee on the way if you want something other than what they sell on the platform.

So you were asking about the community garden on Maple Street. I went by there last Thursday around six. The gate was open, and there were four people tending the raised beds. One of them was a woman named Dana who handles the herb section. She told me they rotate the plots every season and that anyone can sign up through the city website. There is a small shed in the back with tools and gloves that visitors can borrow. The tomato plants along the west fence are doing well. They have a watering schedule posted by the entrance. If you want to join, they meet every Tuesday and Saturday morning. I can introduce you if you decide to go this weekend. Just let me know by Friday afternoon.
