 Friends, I just finished reading Michael Lewis’s new book, Blockers, which officially will be published on October 6. It’s a fabulous read. It focuses on unsung public-sector heroes during the early years of the second Trump regime as they pushed back against DOGE and other tyrannical forces. Their patriotism is inspiring. In honor of this wonderful book, I thought I’d repost a conversation I had with Michael last year on the publication of my Coming Up Short. We cover many themes that I hope you’ll find as fresh — and frustrating — now as then.
