Fundraising Update
One-Quarter of GFES Families Are In!
Just one month into the school year and already one-quarter of all GFES families have participated in Roadrunner Giving! That is an incredible start - THANK YOU! Let’s keep the momentum going. If your family hasn’t participated yet, please consider making your contribution today at whatever level is comfortable for you.
One of our goals this year is actually fewer fundraising asks of our families. Our message really is simple: (1) participate in Roadrunner Giving at whatever level is comfortable for your family, and (2) come to our amazing events and HAVE FUN!

Fall Festival - September 26th
Join the Roadrunner community and let's FALL INTO FUN for the GFES PTA’s Fall Festival on Saturday, September 26th from 12-4pm. Tickets are $12 per person if purchased in advance online ($14 in person), and all attendees ages 4 and up are required to have a ticket. We have many fun games, crafts, activities, food, and more planned for this year’s festival! We can’t wait to see you there!

Fall Festival Volunteers Needed!
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE Fall Festival amazing! This is one of our biggest events of the year, and it cannot happen without our supportive Roadrunner community. If you are interested in helping on the day of the event, there are many ways to help. We are in need of adult volunteers to help with concessions!
We would love to have middle school and high school student volunteers for our activity stations! We will sign for service hours.

Go Club - Volunteers Needed
The PTA is looking for volunteers to help support the Great Falls Go Club! If you have played Go before and/or are interested in supporting the club during their meetings, please reach out to president@gfespta.com!

Math Olympiad
Math Olympiad is back for a second year! The Math Olympiad program is dedicated to developing advanced problem-solving skills and fostering a love for mathematics through participation in national competitions! If you are interested in being part of Math Olympiad, please fill out the Math Olympiad Interest Form by Friday, October 2nd! An information meeting will be held in October! GFES Fall After-School Programs
Fall 2026 Registration is open until Sunday, September 27th at 11:59pm!
Please secure your spots today as many classes are close to capacity including Lego Robotics, Basketball, Chess, Mini-Musical and No-Bake Bonanza. If you want to join and are offered a wait-list spot, we will do our absolute best to accommodate you!
Spots currently remain available in Messiest Art, Pottery, Magic and Tumbling. We must meet our minimum enrollments to offer these programs so please sign up today!
Classes begin Tuesday October 6th!
2026 - 2027 PTA Reflections Contest: Now Accepting Entries!
Calling all artists! The theme for the 2026-2027 PTA Reflections contest is “What My Culture Means to Me,” and you can submit your artwork now! All GFES students are invited to create an original piece to submit in any of the following categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photograph, and Visual Arts.
More information, including submission requirements and the entry form, can be found here. The deadline to submit all materials to the GFES PTA is Friday, 6 November 2026. Chick Fil A Spirit Event - September 29th
On Tuesday, September 29th, we are partnering with the North Point Village Chick-fil-A (1494 North Point Village Center, Reston VA 20194) for our first spirit event of 2026-2027! Order by placing a mobile pickup order, dining-in, going through the drive-thru, or placing a curbside order from 6am - 10pm!
You can enjoy a great meal or snack and the PTA will receive 25% of all sales when you use the code 'ROADRUNNER' while using the Chick-fil-A app. If you are dining in or ordering through the drive-thru, mention you are ordering for the Great Falls PTA spirit event for the PTA to receive 25% of sales!
Unfortunately, the Chick-fil-A app does not allow you to input the code for delivery!

Lending Library!
Last year we created a new lending library!! Don't forget to visit it in the school vestibule and check out a book!
We are still seeking donations of culturally rich and diverse books that celebrate different backgrounds, voices, and experiences. Whether it's a beloved folktale, a story in another language, or a book that reflects your family's heritage—your contribution can help every person see themselves in the pages. Drop off your books on the shelf in the school vestibule and help us grow a library as vibrant and inclusive as our community!
