Be brutally honest with yourself: Would you survive one week in the Viking Age? Sailing frigid oceans, navigating the Viking social scene, and going into battle with an axe? That sounds like my personal nightmare... But I do love Skyr yogurt, so maybe I'd do okay.
Until today, I knew little about the Viking Age. Watching The Lord Of The Rings was the closest I've come to a formal lesson in Norse culture, and even then, I know that's a stretch. From my research, I've learned that being a "Viking" was a job (not an ethnicity), and many Vikings were also farmers. Fascinating.
