keep seeing business owners fixate on trying to go viral. |
They’ll jump on a random ‘red string theory’ trial reels that have absolutely nothing to do with their business, get 400,000 views and think they’ve cracked Instagram. |
But let’s say that post drives 5,000 new followers. |
And of those 5,000, about 100 are actually your ideal clients. |
You’ve now got 4,900 people following you who aren’t interested in what you actually sell. |
So when you go back to posting about your business, they don’t engage. |
And if they don’t engage, Instagram has no reason to keep pushing that content to more people who COULD buy. |
You’ve actually done more harm than good for your account. |
I would MUCH rather have a post get 2,000 views from 2,000 ideal clients than 400,000 views from a load of randomers. |
Because we’re not getting paid based on how many views our posts have. |
We get paid based on how many people actually convert from them. |
So stop trying to make content that everyone on Instagram will understand. |
Make content that is ONLY understood by your ideal client. |
We’re business owners first. |
