Born in 1995, I straddle the awkward border between millennials and Gen Z. Until recently, it may have made sense to try, however desperately, to identify with the latter generation. Millennials had a brutal coming of age, struggling to buy homes while being constantly lectured about spending too much on avocados. But, in the rich world at least, many have now turned their fortunes round. Millennials now earn more than any other recent generation did at the same age, and are catching up in terms of home-ownership. 

I’m eager to watch “You Can See Everything”, a new documentary by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim. They spent 34 days living in the home of Elizabeth Holmes before she reported to federal prison in May 2023. Ms Holmes had been sentenced to more than 11 years for fraud and conspiracy related to Theranos, her blood-testing startup. A subject who throws open her doors like this would seem to have nothing to hide. But our reviewer asks, is her openness itself a disguise?
